The RND provides the following functions:

 GSM link budget, capacity, and Abis Bandwidth dimensioning
 Link budget, capacity, and Single-Site CE/Iub resource dimensioning for UMTS RAN11.0, RAN12.0, and RAN13.0, and dimensioning of site number, site type, and CE/Iub resources in several cities
 Dimensioning of SingleRAN link, capacity, carrier number, and CE for a GSM/UMTS hybrid network
 Link dimensioning and capacity dimensioning for LTE eRAN2.1, and site number dimensioning for several cities
As a specialized radio network pre-planning tool, the RND has the following features:
 Simultaneous dimensioning in multiple scenarios
 Simultaneous dimensioning for networks in several cities or several areas
 Scenario-based calculation mode selection for utilization of special dimensioning functions
 Separate application of each dimensioning function, and unified parameters and inheritance of dimensioning results among different dimensioning functions
 Exporting calculation results into an Excel file for the convenience of result comparison and processing
 Importing project parameters from an external Excel template file
