Don't you have IEEE models like COST207 or COST231, I mean official papers from IEEE????

Hi Jason,

Those Urban and Suburban parameters are standard values or they were tuned (model tunning) for some specific location (Which city)?

I can see that the central Frequency is in 2.1Ghz range, are you using this for UMTS? Is this model working fine?

Hi Processor,
Neither Alcatel nor other vendors use standard model in any technology.
Normaly the have internal tables for factors (K, ...) to be used in the models; for some of the vendors their area centers use different values for the factors based on their research or experience in their related working areas !!
If you in disccussion with their engineers; they don't have an acceptable reason as answer; that why they use such values in the formulas: generaly they say as experience; but now firm reason that satisfy you.

Thank you so much Riverstreamer...been a long time since Grandmasters like you showed up in here....anyway in Alcatel and most expecially A9155 we use the Standard Propagation Model rather than the Okumuru hata.....also is it possible for me to change the K factors and based on what?

@Processor,

The K values are tuned as per your CW drive test. The process of adjusting the K values based on your CW data,CW site data, Clutter heights, Maps is called model tuning. These values are generally specific to a geographic location. :D
It takes time to do the same. :p
