As basically this post is opened and fregzt asked me to help him install Oracle for Aircom 6.0, I will post this update for everybody. For installing Aircom 6.0 with database support on Windows you need this patch for 9i R2. 992 When you are finished installing Oracle go to Aircom 6.0 -> Misc -> Administrator which crates all the tables for you. Would you post the guide how to install oracle 9i with this patch here? I think we do not need to install all of oracle components, and every certain purpose has different treatment. I'm a newbie in this field. You can share your experience in installing oracle here with us.

ok it is like this.

- install oracle standard or ENT without database.
- apply patch.
- create blank database without any additional options which are offered.
- then go to Aircom administrator.

I didn’t finish the screen shots version jet.

well i downloaded the oracle database from the links anita_2k posted. Bu it was version 9.0 and i need 9.2.0.5 for Aircom Enterprise( I guess). here is my question: How can i upgrade it?

From Control Panel ->Administrative Tools, run "Services" and then stop all sevices start with oracle, then you can run Oracle Universal installer and upgrade your oracle.

I just want to clarify that I don't have legal access to aircom's support page, but if I have I'll tell everybody to take your questions and find the answer from them, but I'm trying my best to find the original documents from it is source, also I try to find many sources and sites talk about this information.

You can get, download and enable all Oracle products in version 9, 10, 11 in Full versions from the ORACLE site in free.
I have done it myself completely in free for all these three versions.
It give you all the download links and you can take register key in free too.

Just go to Oracle website.

For whom it may concern:
to communicate Oracle with Aircom you don't need to do anything more tan a general database that it will be set in AIRCOM to communicate with that database service.

About Aircom 6 and Oracle, you can use Oracle 9, 10 and 11 with this application but as Aircom 6 needs some newer ODBC driver and features of Oracle, I reccommend you to install Oracle 11. It clears some bugs and warning errors during connecting these two applications.

I 've downloaded the oracle 9.2.0.1 from the website and install it according to documents nempez shared. When i tried creating a database and installer started giving errors about "TNS:protocol adapter error". i couldn't figure out what is the problem. I dont have much idea about databases. Dealing with database is such a mess!!

For windows xp, you can download this one:

Than use the 9.2.0.8 patch that nempez post. But, I still have the problem. The aircom want the newer oracle. I don't know why. Maybe you can ask nempez. I already ask here:

Hello!

For all, who gets message about database version nonconformity.

If Aircom asks that it needs never Oracle database you simply need start Administrator tool to form the database. Go to Prgrams, Aircom, Misc, Administrator, in Utilities Menu select Upgrade database and wait. This requires some time and patience.. After that you have all Ok! Good luck!

Dear All,

For Oracle database, AIRCOM recommend Oracle 10g.

and if you install AIRCOM Enterprise 6 go to Common directory

C:\Program Files\AIRCOM International\Enterprise 6.0\Common

you'll find 2 file's "Ora10g_1GB.dbt" & "Ora10g_512MB.dbt" copy those files and past it in "C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\assistants\dbca\templates"

then run DATABASE CONFIGURATION ASSISTANT and complete the process of create database.

night devil,

need some help pls.

i try to install aircom 6 and oracle10.2.0 in vista, just silly questions :

1. which one should i install first, Aircom or Oracle?

this is what i've done :
1. oracle installed (software only)
2. copy template using aircom 9.i
3. activate DBA to create database (named as ENT) but in the end always come : Invalid name file
4. futhermore, if i push to ignored, the warning is : Database not open

need help pls, or should i change to S.O.S?

as i see you arae having aproblem in the oracle and enterprize v6

what i have done is this :
1- installed oracle 9i which is normally version 9.2.0.1
2- install he 9.2.07 patch of oracle to upgrade the oracle database system
3- installed ODBC driver version 9.2.0.7
4- installed aircom v6
5-createtd an empt database from oracle database configuration assistant
6-difined alitser from oracle net configuration assistant and then created a tns service.

finally i logged into the aircom administrator and created the database table spaces and defined the super user and then stareted the enterprise v6 and logged in as the super user and every thing went smoot

Finally I find out how to install patches:
follow the instructions.... , this file is already exist in patches folder but it would be good to have a copy here also.

The following procedure describes how to install the patch set interactively:
1. Log on as a member of the Administrators group to the computer on which to install Oracle components. If you are installing on a Primary Domain Controller (PDC) or a Backup Domain Controller (BDC), log on as a member of the Domain Administrators group.
2. Start Oracle Universal Installer release 10.1.0.5 located in the unzipped area of the patch set. For example, Oracle_patch\setup.exe.
3.On the Welcome screen, click Next.
4. On the Specify File Locations screen, click Browse next to the Path field in the Source section.
5. Select the products.xml file from the stage directory where you unpacked the patch set files, then click Next. For example:
Oracle_patch\stage\products.xml

during installation if you face with any error regarding running services , go to CPanel>Admin.Tools>Services and Stop Oracle running services and maybe RANOPT Services.

and in meesage log:
Warning: Database core could not load schema "DIRECT" your installation may not be configured correctly

hi i have installed oracle 11g and after creating the database and installing Aircom Enterprise v 6.0, it allows me to connect smoothly but when i tried to ADD a project in Asset, it gives me the same error as shahabmc mentioned in earlier post.

" Your client installation is not compatible with the database."

Message log:
Warning: Database core could not load schema "DIRECT" your installation may not be configured correctly

I don't see any problem with the database as the connection/tests are successful, It also allows me to log in at DATASAFE, please help !
