In tems main menu, we have Interference option and in that check

C/I, C/A

C/I value should be >12, AS it is standard from E*******

Also you can check Rx Qual and SQI because quality degrades as interference increases

I think that's can be done in dedicated mode
but I'm spekaing about scan mode
as our Senior Engineers guess we may have external source of interference

Thanks a lot, brother

u can use the TEMS T610 for CW scanning.

if it is external interference find the location using the sectors directions.
also the location consintration of the droped call.
all from the network mangment. you dont need TEMS.
however a drive test will show low signal quality and high C/I without scanning.
you should know if the problem is in uplink or downlink and then scan the the target band for the traget stations frequancies only if needed.
CW scanning of spectrume analyzer could help in bad interference cases.

hardly you find those parameters... if you are using k790, you are scanning GSM 2g... this other parameters (ec/no, rssi, etc, are WCDMA parameters..)

when you using k790 in scanner mode, you can check.. hmm interference on same BCCH, but using anothers BSICs.. or adjacent channels... some like that.

its common to use 2 MS's, (like k790), one of them in idle mode, scanning; the other one in call. So you can check c/i (and rxqual, etc..) from the one is in call and a window of channels from the one that are scanning in idle mode.

ive heard about continous wave as a method to find interference sources.. its work using k790's in tems? there are some documentation about cw tests? time ago read some about. test uses a rf source in a point and directional (like yagi) antena on the car.. somebody has documentation?

if isnt possible use k790, its possible use t616 instead t610 to perform cw test?

regards!
