Hi everyone,

Does anyone know which tools can analyse GPEH traces from Ericcson's UTRAN?

I have heard of TEMS Visualisation and perhaps Actix. Can anyone comment on these two tools and GPEH support?

Are there any others? Excel macros etc that could help?

Any info you could share around GPEH would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Markos

Hi..
Actix doesn't have support on this. TEMS Visualization is the best..
I heard about new Aexio but doesn't know on to what extend the tool can analyse...
No Macro i guess since the original format is in ASN.1.

Yes, but through the OSS you can parse GPEH traces so they can be opened by Excel hence the request for any macro info..

There is a separate E/// tool, called Sonar. It is a complete installation of linux server, that does network monitoring and includes MoShell. As part of it, there is a GPEH/UETR/CTR parser, based on PERL.

As well there is tool, which is part of OSS, but a special license/installation is needed.

yes the new version xeus pro 2010 can post process GPEH/UETR/CTR data. can request for a free trial if want to test their capabilities but must have company email. I heard its quite good but myself havent tried. let me know if you try it.

thanks, it looks good. I've used TEMS Visualization trial on one project and it seems to do the same, but the good thing with xeus is that everything is in one application. It's a really good app, I wish I had the pro version :D

Sure, I'll keep you updated on my experience GPEH.
but I yet I still have to finish installing the "decoder".
The installation of "Moshell" Ubuntu (Linux) has not led to problems.
But installing the "decoder" returns me an error on the "Perl"
The error is as follows:
"Only for threadding is supported.

I will keep you updated on developments.

Sure, you can use your PC, just use Sun VirtualBox. I do so.

Does anyone knows about Optimi xGeomanager? I heard they also process GPEH traces from /// but havent tried or seen myself.

Brochure from their web does not give many details of what they support

"But installing the "decoder" returns me an error on the "Perl""
The problem is that you need to install an older (erlier) version of perl when you install Cygwin on windows, so the solution is that you need to uninstall the Cygwin and install agean with an older version of the perl...

I tried creating an excel macro for analyzing GPEH data. It took me a while to finish it. Eventually I stopped updating it as I am currently using OptPCS, which has the feature of analyzing these data. And its must easier in my part since the data parsing (decoding) is maintained by professional programmers (not like engineers who happened to know programming like me :).

Hi slavicp,

Can you elaborate further on your solution on installing older version of perl to make the decoder run successfully. I had it installed on my Linux machine, and I encountered this pm.events error. Do you have the step by step procedure on how did you do it?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks slavicp.
I'll check this recommendation of yours.
I might not noticed it since I am installing it in Linux.

By the way, for those who requested for the decoder.zip file to be shared, Yes I'll share it a day or two from now. I'll have to sort out my files first. Just don't forget to check this thread for that.

Hi to everybody who can support us in this subject,

I put this message in all threads regarding to Tems Visualasation.

May I ask you to put downlink link of the last version of Tems Visualisation ?

May I ask you if you put the ^^C^^R^^K^^ of any version of the Tems Visualisation that you have?

If someone can support us for preparing the SOLUTION for the last version; I'll try to find the last version of the tool in anyway.

For what this could be worth, there is a new tool which analyses GPEH files from E******* OSS and which also calculates UE position from these data and creates maps of traffic, maps of dropped calls density, etc. It is called ariesoGEO (see www.arieso.com (http://www.arieso.com)).
