Its ALCATEL 3G,

I need someone to analyse the indicators and tell me what the problem with that cell is (things like why the call drop is so high and other indicators that i apparently dont understand)

HELP!!!

hello,

i think that u have huge amount of drop calls because of UL interference, i guess that more than 91% of the samples are out f the normal range which is [-103 -106], if we consider 3db of load control factor :

UplinkRSSIDistribution_ULOAD003_CR_toMin97(UULOAD003_CR_toMin97)(%) 8.89% UplinkRSSI_ULOAD003_CR_Min100ToMin97(UULOAD003_CR_Min100ToMin97(%)60.74% UplinkRSSI_ULOAD003_CR_Min103ToMin100(UULOAD003_CR_Mi103ToMi100(%)21.63%

So please check in this direction if you have any external interferor (Radar, TV tower, Microwave, repetitor...). You can also perform drive test and try to recognise your UL intereference on the SIB7 info. Or, you can do the export from the OMC and try to track exactly what's the exact time when this intereference is appearing.

For the last indicators, it's related to the CDF (accumulative function) of the RSCP and Ec/No measured on your site.

it seems the distribution of RSCP and ECNo are good.

I hope it give you some elements to dig in

Thank you very much.

However, i'm just 500meters away from the site in question and i receive a RSCP of -95 to -105 and Ec/no of -8db to -10db. Can uplink interference be responsible for poor coverage?

Also i noticed that when i come outside to the balcony the service gets better but as soon as i go back indoors (just 5-10meters from the balcony), the service deteriorates badly and i'm forced to use GPRS.

Please, i'm a NEWBIE to 3G so need your help and suggestions.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Please see the attached image (the dominant cell is the one that is 450meters away)

Hi Processor, what frequency band do you use in 3G and in 2G?

@ prodigy.....I really don't get ur question?..how does the frequency band on 2g affect the 3g...aren't they based on different technologies?imean cdma and tdma?...kindly see the attached in my first post...thank u

Hello, i wondered about the fact that the service deteriorates when you are away of the balcony and passed to GPRS. That could be because, for example, 2G is radiating in 850 or 900 MHz and 3G in 1800 or 1900 MHZ, which has much more attenuation (especially indoors) than the two lower bands. Is this your case?

See you

@ Prodigy

Sincerely i really dont understand the correlation.

Have u looked at the data attached in my first post?...How come no one is willing to help any longer?

Hi Processor,
As long as you’ve provided RSCP, and EcNo you are in 3G but is it the case of indoor also (do you have 2G layer)?
Can you be more specific…., are you performing data calls? suppose yes, as long as you are talking about GPRS.
Can you describe the problem in term of user experience? Do you have access to drive test tools, TEMS, NEMO, Agilent, …. Maybe the answers will be more appropriate if you can provide a little trace by using the above mentioned tools that is illustrating your scenario.
