Does anyone know how the Nokia Siemens RAN releases are numbered?

What is the latest deployed one?

From my research it seems..

RAS06 is currently in live networks and RU10 is the successor.

Has RU10 been deployed anywhere?

Thanks

Hi guys! RU10 is working right now in many countries, In LATAM for example, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina...
the sucessor of RU10 will be RU20.

RU10 have been implemented in my Network..
So far so good..
But any still limitations for Launching HSPA+ (21 Mbps)
RU10 can just support for HSPA (14.4 HSDPA)

And to upgrdae for next SW Version (RU20)
I hear that RNC must be install with some New Modules (cmiiw)

Any body has new release for this ..??

Guys RG10 is live and kicking in our Network, we have upgraded last month!
as well as RU20 we also are planning to upgrade by the end of this month it is on trial phase currently!
RG10 equivalent to S14
RU20 equivalent to RN5.0
Very goog features NSN has provided for compatibility between 2G and 3G,
Cheers,

Dear paboya,

I m the team lead for Swap project where Siemens BS240XL is being swapped with Flexi.. i heard that flexi does support Siemens & Nokia at the same time.. not sure if it requires any load or patch for it but yes a test was conducted to lets c if it does or does not..

Actually there r many advantages of Flexi over BTS 240.. Power consumption, Capacity, Flexi is Outdoor site etc.. its not temporary.. its all dependent upon the performance of equipment and customers feedback.. and 3G surely..coz siemens RND is almost finished n u can say future is Nokia lol :)

Guys,
I think it is true that BS-240Xl is supported by Flexi BSC,
whats important is the Flexi BSC high Capacity "3000 TRX" in one cabinet configuration and the power consuming, where it is a big step after the DX200 family!
Also as per the documentation is that it is supporting TRX automatic Power down,

The main functionality is almost the same as BSC3i 1000\2000

Yes, its valid, i have ever done this swap modernization from UMR5 to RAS6 and NSN plan to swap all 3G x Siemens RAN to 3G NSN RAN.
And as i know this one will free of charge for operator so it will be difficult for NSN to swap out all x Siemens NodeB, so they provide solution to use this option, all node B x Siemens will connect to RNC x Nokia, and Common IuB etc.

Its depend on operator and NSN negotiation. For my project here, some of BTS 240 XL will be replaced by Flexi EDGE BTS and some other sites with 240 XL will connect to BSC Nokia 3i without swapping the BTS Siemens

@gprastomo
swapped by Flexi EDGE BTS... :)
i think better, coz we still have cBSC that still installed with BR80
And NSN doesnt support this release anymore.. (no patch anymore)...

Pak, u can share the spesification the Flexy EDGE BTS...
Coz i still blank about BTS 2G with small dimension like Flexy
and surely with low power comsumption..

Maybe i can share to our PLANNER
to consider the Flexy EDGE BTS
