Hi Fellows, I have interview call from Samsung for field test engineer, I need help as i have no experience, just a knowledge, if some one can provide me information and any tool for experience purpose will be helpful. I have some hands on optimization experience on atoll. job description is here;
General Description
The main purpose of the Field Test Engineer is quality assurance testing of mobile phones on live networks for end-users. This involves field testing mobile handsets and associated accessories • Previous experience in mobile field testing is essential and experience in IMS testing such as RCS and VoLTE are preferred. • Prefer Experience with UK / European telecom operators. • Prefer Experience with Test management skills and certified Agile testers • Fluent written and spoken English. • Engineering background in electronics and telecommunications field will be an advantage.(recommended, not mandatory) • Strong log analytical skills. • Capable of making decisions, working independently and organizing own workload. • High self motivation and ability to work alone, setting sensible priorities, working to tight deadlines, managing conflicting priorities. • A competent level of presentation and communication skills. • Approachable, flexible, team orientated and self-assertive where required. • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. • Strong PC skills (especially MS Office) • Excellent knowledge in GSM-UMTS-LTE Networks and applications infrastructure (SNS, MMS, WAP-Gateways, Java, wireless connection / recommended, not mandatory) • A good understanding of documentation requirements.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
• Quality assurance "end user" testing on live networks. • Field project tests, such as radio / audio performance tests and software verification on mobile handsets (including GSM, GPRS, UMTS, LTE, IMS testing and Mobile Intelligent terminals) and accessories (e.g. headset, hands-free and GPS, wearable devices). • Interoperability testing with network operators and SIM Card manufacturers. • Manage full project test cycle and test schedule. • Working closely with QA and R&D Engineers in the UK, Poland, India & Korea to: • Discuss and provide information about defects and other issues that arise as a part of testing. • Interpret technical reports. • Initial analysis network behavior. • Contributing to regular progress and final project reports. • Testing of new features and techniques of the mobile devices and network. • Capacitated or qualified for Business trip to out of UK. (Korea, Europe or all around the world)
