Hi everydody

I am newbie in Rf area . Currently I am perfrming in RNO making drive test and postprocessing.
I was checking some senior Rf Engineer resumes on internet.

I notice someones have programming and database skills like : C++, Oracle, Unix

1. What kind of tasks required these koweledges in ?

2. Is programming or database knoweledge high demand ? Should I get an Oracle certification to improve my resume ?

Thanks

Hello,
first of all you need to learn "Macro in Excel" (macro means Visual Basic 6 embedded in excel),
If this is not enough then learn "Visual Basic.NET",
If still not enough "SQL" for extra large databases,

in normal conditions, Macro and VB.NET are enough for drive test post processing

Ok.. It is not neccesary getting a Oracle certification . So I should focus to learm programming macros using VBE editor from excel, instead programming C++ and handling database wth excel too

gudubettin (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?54345-gudubettin) is right.
I agree you need to be very good at least with excel..
However there is more than enough to learn to be real expert in related with the RNO - 2G/3G/4G , E//, Huawei(for example) features, algorithms, counters, KPI - many new things every year; tracing analysis, troubleshoting and etc and etc.
IT knowledge is a plus(to speed up analysis, if your IT team is weak and lazy), but in my opinion more time you spent in IT(becoming an expert there) less time you will have for the above mentioned things.
It depends on your goal.

It seems to me a very practical sreply.
esoestemp (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?56447-esoestemp) What do you mean with IT knowledge . Are you talking about networking, database or infraestructure(recovery and backup) skills ??
