Hi All,

For those wanting to download free GTOPO30 (DEM) - Global Topographic Data you can find a great collection on this link:

http://www1.gsi.go.jp/geowww/globalmap-gsi/gtopo30/gtopo30.html

Its totally free and the data is updated to 1993 as far as I know from the breif reading on the site. And most importantly the site has data for almost all the countries in world.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET to add to my THANKS & REPUTATION.

Hi All,

Can any forum member please share some light on how I can convert GOTOPO30 (DEM) data into a format which I can use with Atoll 2.8 or Mentum Planet 4.5???

I can easily open the above data and STRM format in Global Mapper 10 but when I export to a format which these tools support and try to open it there is always erros with filters and so on...

I need to know the method of how I can convert the GOTOPO30 to vector. heights etc before I can import into Atoll. If one can share the method for converting into format for Mentum Planet 4.5 as well that would be great.

Thanks
:D

Very nice work but my dear these Gtopo30303 are a bit old 1996 i guess, and are less accurate than .hgt from NASA , these are better accuracy i use them 4 pathloss, checked in field and in network module, by the way great thanks to this forum for enabling my pathloss on my laptop
