Samsung Galaxy S5 is warming up to be a hot device in the network testing market. At least 17 models of this phone have been launched in various regions of the world.
The Galaxy S5 is an LTE Category 4 device handling data speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s DL and 50 Mbit/s UL. Supported frequency bands typically include a large subset of LTE FDD 700 (APT)/800/850/900/1800/1900/2100/2600 MHz and TDD 2300 MHz. The APT band is of particular interest as it has the potential to become an internationally accepted roaming band.
TEMS Investigation is capable of connecting to S5 phones as-is, and we’re currently busy adding official support for several models. Still more will follow as the 16.x series of releases unfolds – please let us know which models you need!
