Pilot Pollution Events There are separate pilot pollution event diagrams for data logged by handsets and scanners.
Handset data. Pilot pollution events are detected in handset data by the Pilot_Pollution_Events event diagram, which uses two user-definable thresholds, as follow:

Pilot Pollution. This event (UuPilotPollution attribute) is triggered when the Ec/No values for four or more pilots in the Active or Monitored sets (Uu_ActiveSet_EcNo and Uu_MonitoredSet_EcNo attributes) are greater than the Uu_PilotPollutionThreshold threshold. The default value for this threshold is -15 dB and it should be in the range -18 to -10 dB.
Too Many Servers. This event (Uu_TooManyServers attribute) is triggered when the Ec/No values for four or more pilots in the Active or Monitored sets (Uu_ActiveSet_EcNo and Uu_MonitoredSet_EcNo attributes) are within the Uu_TooManyServersThreshold threshold of the best server in the active set. The default value for this threshold is 5 dB and it should be in the range 1 to 10 dB.

Scanner data. Pilot pollution events are detected in scanner data by the UMTS_Scanner_Events event diagram, which uses two user-definable thresholds, as follows:

Pilot Pollution. This event (Uu_Scan_PilotPollution attribute) is triggered when the Ec/No values for four or more pilots (CPICH_Scan_EcIo_SortedBy_EcIo attribute) are greater than the Uu_Scan_PilotPollutionThreshold threshold. The default value for this threshold is -15 dB and it should be in the range -18 to -10 dB.

Note: Veritune creates an additional Pilot Pollution event (Uu_Veritune_Scan_PilotPollution attribute) based on UMTS drive test scanner data. The algorithm for this event depends on the pilot pollution model you have chosen. See Thresholds Used in Veritune Event Detection (http://www.finetopix.com/Thresholds_Used_in_Veritune_Event_Detection.htm) for more information.

Too Many Servers. This event (Uu_Scan_TooManyServers attribute) is triggered when the Ec/No values for four or more pilots (CPICH_Scan_EcIo_SortedBy_EcIo attribute) are within the Uu_Scan_TooManyServersThreshold threshold of the best server in the active set. The default value for this threshold is 5 dB and it should be in the range 1 to 10 dB.
