i'll like to know from experts if switching off PS384 service can help in reducing DL power congestion in my network, if any body has experience of this please.

does anyone know about this issue?

Better to study before you decide to deactivate.
take some analysis for the power consumption eg cpich power, PA power (43 or 46 dbm), then Admission threshold, HSDPA allocation stragtegy.

if you already investigate all optimization activity, i think the better option is to limit the Max throughput for R99 to only have 128 or 64 kbps.

thanks bro,

do you know if limiting max R99 throughput to 128 or 64 kbps will relieve DL power congestion on a congested cell.

Yes, if you have a many users using these services and even you can reduce the Code utilization.

Yes, R99 took dedicated scheduling each user, while hsdpa is shared among user, so R99 is less efficient in term of capacity

Can anyone show me how to limit max R99 throughput to 256Kbps? nodeB is Huawei 3900E
