Hi experts,

T3109 is release indication wait timer, Is there any rule that this timer should be greater than RLT (Radio Link timers) or not?

Hi

T3109 is timer which runs at Network end.it is activated when channel release inidaction is sent to MS.
on other Hand RLT is radio link monitoring timer, which when expires the radio link is released.

Hi,
In order to decrease DCR, Huawei recommends that timer to be with 2sec. longer than RLT.

In E******* it is Hard Coded : T3109 = a + RLT*480ms where a= 1/2 sec This is the rule : larger value of T3109 makes fake TCH traffic , accordingly improve KPI (MPD,Call Drop rate) On contrary, lower value doesn't provide time to re-establish Radio-Link. So keep, T3109 according to the equation.

The timer starts at delivering message CHANNEL RELEASE, and stops at receiving message RELEASE INDICATION.
T3109 must be greater than the value of "Radio Link Timeout" about 1s or 2s according to Huawei. Otherwise, the radio resource is reassigned before the Radio Link Timeout timer times out.
