Dear all,

does anyone know how to convert tems .cel file to .nbf (bts file) to load in nemo analyze? is there any tool available for that? i shall be grateful for any sort of help or info.

I know how to convert file to .nbf , when you prepare the text file including required details then just rename it with .nbf ...thats it

there is particular software for converting ....

just copy all neede data in note pad and rename it with .nbf extension

by the way here you are an exemple of Nemo template which contain requeired data.

the file in in txt extension just replace .txt by .nbf

make a cellfile for nemo very easy, create cellfile with excell follow fomat of nemo . after save as filename.txt ( not tab ) , and change filename.txt to filename.NBF.

but format of nemo don't have neigbour list.I don't known nemo outdoor 5.x.x and nemo analyze 5.13 support it. try it

Dear brother,

I would recommend you to please read help before asking something in the forum, i have seen many people just install the software and then comes up with questions, they never try to explore themselves about the use of the software.

.nbf file is the BTS file for NEMO Outdoor/Analyzer, the format of generating the UMTS/GSM is given the HELP, you can look around and search for it !!

You can make .nbf file in EXCEL and then save as .txt (delimited) with the name "XXXX.nbf" . It will save your file to the .nbf extension.

thanks for your recommendation...but with due respect i never asked the question about making .nbf file...i specifically mentioned converting .cel file to .nbf 'cause i was wondering if there is some tool available for that...

Also if everything could be learnt from help files then what is the purpose of trainings and forums and large communities where seniors help juniors and share knowledge. If everything could be learnt from books then what is the purpose of teachers.

of course i agree that a pupil must attain a certain degree over time where he starts to learn and observe himself...but a mentor or a teacher or a guide or a helping hand is always useful.

If you know how to work with macros then u can make your own convertor, it isnt difficult brother !!

TEMS Cell file contains many extra things which NEMO .nbf file doesn't need it, for example you dont need neighbor list, neighboring lac information in .nbf file !!

Look the architecture of both files and i bet you can make .nbf file in less than 10 min from TEMS Cell file (manually) !!

Now coming back to your question of helping, then brother we are here to help but the basics are important, if u don't even know the basics, then how can we help you. For that i request you to do some self-efforts as well, this is important because u r in ur professional career and there are many things which u will learn by urself !!

You would have never asked the conversion tool if u have seen the architecture of both files, everything of .nbf file is present in TEMS Cell file, and u can do it manually in a very quick time (u just need to work with excel) !!

You have attached the wrong format of .nbf file

Please find the attached GSM sample .nbf file, you can open it in excel, I have entered 1 Site in it (3 Cells), you can complete it with your requirements, have fun !

but the nbf architecture was not available in the nemo outdoor help file (may be i missed something)...it was later provided by another member rikoto001 (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?u=6236)...to whom i'm really grateful...and i'm also thankful to u for ur support throughout in this regard and in other regards...thanks again...
