Can somebody please tell me which software version i shall use to program my MTH800. The radio says R07.000.5639, CP Ver is 254.55.33.
Is it the MR5.8 that i shall use to program my radio with? Is there anything else that needs to be correct in order for the programming to work, firmware or something else?
I would be very glad if somebody could help me out and answer this question. Im new to ******** and doesn't have a clue about ********s software.

And where can i get my hands on the old MR5.8 software if that is the one i need? Thanks for some help.

Regards.

Hi,

For example R07.000.5848 belongs to MR5.6.1E, your FW revision is older maybe MR5.5...

Okay thanks. So my options is either use the MR5.5 or make a Firmware upgrade and then use a more recent software version?

I had the MR5.5.2 version. But when i read the "about" text it says Codeplug versions 2970-2998 on the "MTH800 portable handset" and on the "MTH800 Unicode platform portable handset" it says Code plug version 2971-5533.

What is this MTH800 Unicode Platform portable handset?
And is it the 4 last numbers that is my code plug version in the numbers R07.000.5639? Or where do i find the code plug version?
I don't understand this at all. Please help me with this. Thanks.

Regards.

R07.000.5639 (Z19 file) is firmware (or Application image) revision, R07=>MTH800 380/430MHz 000=Clear software 5639=FW rev
Each FW can handle a range of codeplugs (2970 to 2998 in your MR5.5.2 CPS info for example)

Unicode is a computing industry standard for the consistent encoding, representation and handling of text expressed in most of the world's writing's system (wikipedia)
MTH800 can have different langages and alphabets (cyrilic, arab and others middle-east langages, Korean, chineses , etc), so unicode models are not specific to a langage.

You can use more recent CPS with your radio, but you need to upgrade it.

Okay thanks, but how do i see my radios code plug version? Is it some of these numbers that are the code plug version, CP Version 254.55.33?

So i only need to worry about that the firmware version matches the software version, and if the firmware version matches then will also the code plug version match the software version?

So maybe i can use this version i have, MR5.5.2?

Regards.
