i'm a fresher in this field. came to know that Huawei is having their primary or first level user manual in english language. when it comes to secondary level manual, it is available ony in chineese version. why is it so?..??
If the company itself publishes it in english too, it'll be a great help to the customers worldwide.

Very True!!!!
i have witnessed this as well.......theres enormous partiality for chinese....
whenever there's some major issue and when forwarded to huawei RND the response is always in chinese to a chinese.....and the only thing we get back is a software patch.......without any explaination about the issue etc.......

when asked all they say is don't worry just use this patch and it will be alright..........and they wouldn't employ non chinese in huawei upper levels either..................

Dear Friend
Of course it is a fact
Because Huawei started by copying E******* Equipment they are afraid that non chineese may transfer the Information to other companies , look to the E******* NODE B 3206 and compare it with Huawei BTS 3900 , it is just a copy of everything , NSN and E******* own the best tech in UMTS but they are being copied by Huawei , I am afraid that after some years only chineese Engineers will be working in this field , they have the ability now to give many services and licenses for free to get the market share

I really don't understand what is the problem, if you are working with huawei, the first thing that you should try to do is to learn the chinese language. Is the same if you are from a non - English speaker country, you have to learn English. So, if you have any technical doc in chinese , please share it here.

Also, now exist Google translator, and a lot of free online tools for making translation. There's a lot of Chinese and Russian guys that don't know English, but they take advantage of these tools.

Huawei is China's manufacturers. It all the technology can use Chinese more accurate to describe. Chinese instructions to make the world more and more people to learn Chinese, understand huawei.

Mos of their docs are in Chinese especially the high level docs also they make docs for customer and a very detail copy of the same file as (internal use)

huawei doesn't want the customer to know every thing they want to do every thing by their teams.

I'm not defending Huawei and I'm a non-chinese. Just trying to think rationally. Could it be that translating each and every document could mean a huge cost when internal documents are actually meant to be read by a select few? Think about it, why would you want to translate to English if all of your RND personnal are native chinese from mainland China.

I never knew finetopix has vendor engineers too in here. I always thought it mainly made up of operator engineers. Anyone from NSN, E*******, ZTE, ALU here?

Response is always from chinese to chinese because most internal level RND personnal don't even speak, understand or write English.

is that really matter compare to the price offered ? It does, if you wanna get technical. For those who just rely on Huawei support and wait for their salary at the end of the week are useless Engineers.

Copying, duplicating is the specialism of Chinese companies. There's no 2 ways about it.

Are you serious? Google translate from Chinese - English = Chinglish ! It's horrible ! It's an non-intuitive direct machine translation. It's useless.

I think what you are saying is true about Huawei, Huawei always hide everything, if you don't ask, no one show you, you need just to do effort to understand Huawei equipments, it is very rare to find qualified Huawei engineer even chinese, you need to fight to understand Huawei and also to get support this Huawei.

But isn't it same with NSN, E*******, ZTE and ********?

I've heard with some vendors, the information is highly compartmentalised. As an employed engineer, you may have access to say for example hardware docs but not software.

BTW, ******** and E******* are highly plegarised by Huawei.

it not just huawei every vendor tries to limit control on its equipment. E******* also do nt post so many deep things in alex manuals too.
