OPTIMA in Aircom Enterprise 6

Dears

As you know there is OPTIMA module in Aircom Enterprise 6
In my Aircom Enterprise 6, OPTIMA is Licensed Enabled like all other modules; but as I want to 'login' to OPTIMA is says username/password is wrong.
It seems OPTIMA uses another database which works based on that.
Does anyone as information about how set OPTIMA settings to be active for working?
Should we install another database?
Is it possible to do this subject after installing Enterprise AND general Oracle database for ASSET?

Dear friend,

Optima is not that kind of software, you think. It's an OSS / Switch based database server which is automatically update itself with counters, and provide you with KPI.

you need to set the optima forumla and link it to the switch database !

Have u tried RANOPT? does it login ? If not, then try the Database template and Guide which i have posted , you'll be able to use RANOPT for sure !

Hi to all,

Unlike other Aircom Enterprise modules, Optima needs to be configured by Aircom itself. When you buy it from them they'll send their experts to create the DB for you and to install the parsers (something like SQL Loader to extract row data from BSS or NSS **** files) then they will create formulas for the counters and KPIs. I have a demo **** file but it's for version 5.1 and it will not work on other versions.

to day ,I've successed setup database RANOPT ,but I can't login to Optima Lite.I think we must setup a private database for OPTIMA.so we need a template for Oracle.

You need to create
1. listener in oracle network configuration using the IP where Optima is located.
2. Local net service name configuration using the same ip. TEst the connection.
3. In aircom misc choose the file configure lic setttings and include the ip address for optima. just the one you use in the listener

2 Run the script

CreateOptimaCommon.sql to create the OPTIMA_COMMON


table.

3 Run the following scripts to install the Generic Summary configuration tables in
the OPTIMA database:





1create table GENERIC_SUMMARY_REPORTS.sql



2create table GENERIC_SUMMARY_COLUMNS.sql



3create table GENERIC_SUMMARY_LOG.sql

4 Run the script



4create GENERIC_SUMMARY package.sql to install the


Generic Summary Oracle package on the OPTIMA database.

GENERIC_SUMMARY grant and synonyms.sql to issue the


required grants on all the database elements, for example tables, package and so

forth.
6 Run the script 6




SEQUENCE and OPTIMA_COMMON.sql to add


OPTIMA_COMMON entry and create the reportid_seq sequence (for internal

use).
The Generic Summary is configured using INI files, each configuration is known as a



report. Reports are stored in the

GENERIC_SUMMARY_REPORTS table.
