HI,
I would like to know how can we calculate the paging load per lac in 2G.

Assumptions:
Consider the following:
-Combined BCCH/SDCCH signaling channel configuration
1 block used for AGCH -> 2 blocks for paging
-Maximum 4 paging messages/block, (TMSI) used, 3 in average.
-On an average, 2 paging messages are sent to page a mobile.
Thus on an average, 3 pages/block are sent, but 2 blocks are reserved for
paging. This gives a total of 6 paging messages in every 51 frame Multiframe,
which means 6 paging messages in every 235 ms.
Paging Message Capacity:
If we now calculate how many paging messages we can get during busy hour:
3600 sec. / 0.235 sec * 6 paging messages = 91,915 paging messages,
Paged Mobile Capacity:
We can then calculate how many mobiles we can page during busy hour (with an
average of 2 paging messages per mobile):
91,915 / 2 = 45,957 mobiles/BH.

hope it help you

HI,
I would like to know how can we calculate the paging load per lac in 2G.

I understand that if you want to know the LOAD per LAC. you need to know how many pagings are delivered. depending on the vendor you´ll have BSC or MSC counters to use (then you can divide by the maximum value (provided by ASAP))
then if your load grows you need to take action.,,
