Hi all,

I am working on a WiMAX network that will be used for M2M (machine to machine) applications.

We are using 3 * 5MHz channels using PUSC (1x3x3). I have calculated the link budget for this network to determine the limiting link which as you might guess is the uplink.

In WiMAX there are CDMA codes that are used in the uplink for initial ranging which there are only 44 or so from memory.

Can anyone else tell me if there are any other bottle necks that should be taken into account considering the number of devices per sector, typically thousands?

Is there a maximum number of pages that a base station can send out ect?

Regards,

Pedro

Hi Pedro,,

Why are you using PUSC for a 1x3x3 network,, you basically use FUSC to utilize maximum capacity,,, thanks.
