Hi There,

Can you provide some details about the differences between HSPA Versus HSPA+.
And how we can enrich customer experience from GPRS/EDGE by using HSPA / HSPA+ and which one is better and how ?
What is difference in terms of capacity, quality and latency

Regards

Hi

jsut simple

HSPA - is HSDPA(rel5)+HSUPA(rel6) support..which can max having a DL capacity of 21.1Mbps and UL cpacity of 5.8 MBps
HSPA+ -is rel 7 and rel 8 IP technology which works over MIMO, DL capacity 84 mbps and UL capacity 21mbps
HSPA+ - latency below 50ms and the current HSPA latency is around 70ms.
HSPA+ -works with 2*2 MIMO

HSPA Plus = HSPA + MIMO + HOM + L2 RLC Enhancments + Continous Packet Connectivity + other enhancments
HSPA + offers better spectral efficienty due to the add on features.

GPRS/EDGE was considered to be 2.5G while HSPA/HSPA+ is 3.5G. GPRS/EDGE supported 236 kbps in DL with MS class-8 and HSPA + is supporting 84 mbps. So numerically HSPA+ has clear advantage over GPRS/EDGE. In terms of capacity, quality and latency also HSPA+ is far better than GPRS/EDGE. You need to deploy UMTS Network to upgrade customers from GPRS to HSPA. Are you new to telecommunications?
