Hi experts,

Could you tell me how to improve PS InteRAT HO success rate.

me too struggling with the same thing, but I have implemented quite a few things that showed little improvement still looking for more concrete solutions;

1. 2G definitions (BCCH, LAC, BSIC, CI) etc in 3G RNCs.
2. No fluctuations in SGSN (not in the hands of RF engg).
3. Proper neighbor planning.
4. Tweaking IRAT HO triggering parameters (RSCP, EcNo) depending on cases.

And all the above mentioned steps should be continued on a regular basis to see improvement as it will take quite a few weeks.

In case of e******* you can also check this parmeter and play with it.
timeReleaseIuPs - Guard timer, in case the PS CN does not release the Iu connection after an IRATHO (inter radio access technology handover) to GSM.

What is your current success rate and what is the reason for none successfull ones (based on KPIs) ? Vendor?

Ensure stability on your TX links. PS is very sensitive.

About 93.83%. Vendor is Huawei. actually, the reason we are finding!

PS irat is always more difficult to analyse since it includes 2 side SGSN in the process.
Phu, are you enable relocation in PS Irat ? 2G load is fine ?
Also, try to plot your stats with 3G RAC Border and 2G as well, perhaps you find s'thing.

Guard timer, in case the PS CN does not release the Iu connection after an IRATHO (inter radio access technology handover) to GSM.
Special values:
0: infinity (this means that this timer should not be used)
Unit: s
Range: 0 to 120, Default=10


This parameter is in the cell level or RNC, BSC level?

This is not so bad at all!
Check the KPIs of contributors, do LMT trace or drive test in the area to see where the problem comes from..? The reason for this kind of failures are too many really.
