How to balance traffic between GSM 900 and GSM 1800 cells?
On the gsm 900 cell, i have more than 15 Erlangs in a busy hour, on a gsm 1800 cell only 7-8 Erlangs. I've tried with LAYERTHR, CLSLEVEL, CLSACC parameters, but with no success. Gsm 900 cell is on the 7th layer, gsm 1800 cell is on the 3rd layer. Pls, suggest a solution with parameters, not with changing tilts.

Any luck with HO Margin, HO priority, Level MIn, Cell reselection..??
i always do that first...

@Sekit,

Absorb traffic from GSM using Cell Reselect offset for idle, and push traffic from to GSM to DCS using handover algorithm. Good luck :)

I think ,you are running with E// vendor .
There are different ways to shift traffic from 900 to 1800

1. LOL /LOLHYST/FBOFFSET
2. SCLD
3. DTCB
4. TAOL

For LOL ,if you reduce LOL value more traffic will be penetrate to 900
In case of SCLD (1st check SCLD =ON/OFF ?) if SCLDUL & SCLDLL isnot optimized then more traffic penetrate in UL (due to load)

Thanks

Dynamic Overlaid/Underlaid Subcells, Multi Band Cell are optional features.
Maybe his operator doesn't have these features enabled.

It is E// Vendor. We don't have multiband cells, it is the same site, but different TGs, one TG is for RBS 900, and another is for RBS 1800. Also, the direction of GSM 900 and GSM 1800 antennas is the same, we use triple band antennas.
