Windows 7 Service Pack 1 RTM Build 7601.17514.101119-1850

The first service pack for Windows 7 has been sent to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), according to a post on TechNet by Microsoft's Windows Visualization team. The company also promised that SP1 would arrive in the hands of users in the "first half" of 2011.

You have it NOW. Tested by me and works OK !

At the hour of posting this could not be found on MSFT site for direct download.



The Windows 7 SP1 package will help keep your PCs and servers on the latest support level, provides ongoing improvements to the Windows Operating System (OS), by including previous updates delivered over Windows Update as well as continuing incremental updates to the Windows 7 platform based on customer and partner feedback, and is easy for organizations to deploy a single set of updates.

In order to download and install the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Release Candidate you must currently have a Release to Manufacturing (RTM) version of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 already installed.

If you have previously installed the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Beta on your machine, you must uninstall the beta before installing the Release Candidate.

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Release Candidate is available for installation in the same languages made available at original launch of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

•WUSignUpTool_x86.exe - This tool enables your 32-bit Windows 7 machine to participate in the public beta via Windows Update. Run this tool and then check for updates in Windows Update.
•WUSignUpTool_x64.exe - This tool enables your 64-bit Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 machine to participate in the public beta via Windows Update. Run this tool and then check for updates in Windows Update.
•windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe - This application installs the public beta to a 32-bit machine running Windows 7.
•windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe - This application installs the public beta to a 64-bit machine running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
•7601.17105.100929-1730_Update_Sp_Wave1-B1SP1.0_DVD.iso - This DVD ISO disk image contains the standalone update packages for the public release candidate.


NOTE: If you are already participating in the public beta via Windows Update, go to Windows Update in the Control Panel, uninstall the beta, select Check for Updates, then install the release candidate. You do not need to run the WUSignupTool a second time to be offered the release candidate. You do not need to install any updates before installing the release candidate.

The software will stop running on November 30, 2011. You may not receive any other notice. You may not be able to access data used with the software when it stops running.It is important to note that you must uninstall the Service Pack 1 Release Candidate prior to installing future builds, including the final release, of the Service Pack.Upgrades from the beta or release candidate will not be supported.

You have posted Release Candidate of Windows 7 Service Pack. In my post you can find FINAL Release.

RTM = Release to Manufacturing, or the process of making CDs, putting them in a box, and then getting them out to customers // OEM and System Builders. This is called wave0.

RTW = Release to Web, which is making something available for download // rest of people with direct download from MSFT site. This is called wave1.
