Hello Everyone,

First of all, i am new with UMTS technology, i have been working with CDMA around 5 years.

I am trying to measure VSWR at RRU of a node B 3418, i am connecting to OSS, opening a terminal, telnet to node b ip and executing the next commands:

lhsh 000900/port_x_dev_y fui get vswr

where:

port_0_dev_7 -> RRU sector 1
port_1_dev_8 -> RRU sector 2
port_2_dev_9 -> RRU sector 3

I receive a error.

Any help please.

Thanks. :)

did you do a "lt all" before "lhsh" command?

also please give a printout of "cabx" so we can investigate further...

which command to use on RBS 3106,3206 for getting VSWR??

I think you can only do that via OMT. I don´t know any commands. i have asked, but the only anwers i get is via OMT locally on RBS or OMT Remote...

If you find it share it...

Best regards

Here it goes for RBS 2000 series...

For RBS 3000 series i think you could try from OSS starting a moshell sesion in a terminal,
and executing the comand lh ru fui get vswr

Best regards...

Dear all,
As this topic, We can get VSWR for RBS3418 only. How does you get this value for RBS 3206, RBS6000. In our network, we don't use ASC.

Dear all,
And when I checked our site, we get the DC Resistance and the VSWR of Node. I have read the Alex about the DC resistance but i didn't deep understand about it. Please help me with 2 questions:
- What does it mean? Does this function supervise the conduction between the inner and outer of cable.
- What recommendation value does we set for RBS and why do we set this value?
Thanks for your support!

Hi Sabila,
Thanks for your support. But I want to know the meaning of DC Resistance Supervision beside the VSWR. Please send your default passwork to my email: dung_dt10@yahoo.com.
Thanks so much!

Hello i hope this will help you people out.

the deal is that not every node use the same Dev number, so you will have to guess it.

for example

for the RRU 1, you will have to try for port_0_dev_1,port_0_dev_2 (until you hit 9)

when you find the right dev number for example:

lhsh 000900/port_0_dev_6 fui get vswr

your just will have to follow the sequency for the rest of the ports or RRU

lhsh 000900/port_0_dev_6 fui get vswr RRU 1
lhsh 000900/port_1_dev_7 fui get vswr RRU 2
lhsh 000900/port_2_dev_8 fui get vswr RRU 3

i also have some printscr in case you need it.

Bye

Hai,
1) run the command cabx
2) find the APN number
3)lhsh 00APN00/port_0_dev_7 fui get vswr
if the APN for port_0_dev_7 is 12(say), the command will be
lhsh 001200/port_0_dev_7 fui get vswr
4) One of the easiest way is just type the commands
lh ru fui get vswr

To know the ports assigned try this command in the Node B
ps * | grep "TRX"

with available ports then try
lhsh aaa fui get vswr
Where aaa is the port from the above command.

or
to get all the vswr at a time you can try
lh ru fui get vswr

hi everyone, I'll explain how to obteined vswr from a nodeB E*******,
you should load the nodeB with
> lt all
then
>lh ru fui get vswr

NODE0001_B_IP_850> lh ru fui get vswr

130827-20:19:23 IP.NODE 9.0a RBS_NODE_MODEL_S2_1_6 stopfile=/tmp/10317
Please enter Node Password:

Checking available boards on node...

cabx
.............
Created following board-groups: all, allp, mp, bp, tu, coremp, ommp, scb, sxb, scx, sccpmp, et, etmfg, etmfx, aal2ap, aal2ncc, aal2cpsrc, aal2rh, xp, rax, tx, tx6, ru, ru[0-6].
>>> Type "bp" to view available board-groups and "bp <group>" to view group contents.
=============================================================================================
$ lhsh 000900/port_0_dev_9 fui get vswr
0009p0d9: vswr: 15.2[dB] à VSWR = 1.42
=============================================================================================
$ lhsh 000900/port_1_dev_10 fui get vswr
0009p1d10: vswr: 19.5[dB]
=============================================================================================
$ lhsh 000900/port_2_dev_11 fui get vswr
0009p2d11: vswr: 19.1[dB]

here you have the db loss and you have to convert to the value of VSWR, in this case the vswr from sector A is 1.42
to convert the initial value you can use a convert calculator online or a "spinn vswr" searching on google

I use
perfect <=1.2
1.2 < good < 1.3
bad > 1.4

greetings from Paraguay.
