Hello,

I've done it once ! but I don't remember more exactly how? ! it's possible with Atoll,I'm sure .I have imported DTM+clutter data :".tab"+".grd/grc".
A mapinfo file consists of a number of files with extensions such as .TAB, .DAT and .MAP. All of these files need to be present and kept together for the table to work.
These are defined as follows:

.TAB: table structure in ASCII format
.DAT: table date storage in binary format
.MAP: storage of map objects in binary format
.ID: index to the MapInfo graphical objects (.MAP) file
.IND: index to the MapInfo tabular (DAT) file

Make sure that all the sub-files are in the same folder.

Thanks so much.
I know that it is possible to import Clutter or vector with .TAB in atoll.
But I'm talking about Geographic map like as Google map with .TAB extension.

Is it possible to import google map or sattelite map which extension is .TAb in atoll????

Is it possible to import google map or sattelite map which extension is .TAb in atoll????

It is simple with OpenStreetsMaps (free alternative to google maps).

Use GlobalMapper -> Download free online imagery
Choose Worldwide Data -> OpenStreetMaps.org Global maps

Browse or define coordinates for area of interest. Export as Raster/Image and choose one of supported formats by Atoll, like BIL.

Just import BIL as image into Atoll :)

Dear beniy!
TAB file (mapinfo) you can import it normally to Atoll. You select import vector map, and chose right projection coordinate system for map. If coordinate same with Atoll document projection, try again with WGS84.
Map satellite import to Atoll: the first, you need download satellite map (by Universal Map Downloader). The second, you open map with mapinfo and register least 3 point. Finally, you import to Atoll (.tab file)
