Nemo Outdoor 5.70 is the first drive test tool to support the new PcTel MX series scanning receiver. At the first stage, GSM and WCDMA systems are supported and support for LTE, CDMA and EVDO measurements will soon follow. Other scanner measurement improvements include support for spectrum scanning with the Rohde & Schwarz TSMW scanner and simultaneous RSSI and pilot scanning with CDMA/EVDO and WCDMA scanning receivers using the following scanner models:
• PcTel PCT series
• PcTel LX series
• PcTel EX series
• PcTel MX series
The latest Nemo Outdoor release also enhances our customers' LTE testing capabilities by introducing support for the Qualcomm MDM9200 and MDM9600 chipsets.
Nemo Outdoor user interface has been improved and several new functionalities are now available when using maps. Especially in areas where there are a lot of tunnels or other obstacles causing the loss of GPS signal, it can be problematic to post-process data correctly. With the new Modify Route tool, it is possible to modify GPS coordinates during playback and redraw the measurement route on a map. Users can also define the current location manually when no GPS data is available during measurements. A simulated GPS event is created after which all location-specific data, such as BTS cell names are displayed using the specified location. Pilot pollution situations detected with WCDMA scanners and terminals and GSM co-channel/ adjacent channel interferer situations are now easily viewed. Cells causing interference can be displayed on a map and a line from the current location is drawn to interfering cells.
In addition to single and multi (parallel) FTP transfers with single or multiple files, multi-threaded FTP transfers are now possible with Nemo Outdoor. In multi-threaded FTP transfer mode, the transferred file is split into smaller fragments. The number of threads can be defined by the user. Each thread creates a new FTP session and transfers a fragment of the file. The total application data throughput is recorded including all threads.
