Does anyone have a step by step guide to running a retune in CNA. I have the new freq plan in text file format so I can do a CNAI import but i need to create a planned area from this and a backup area in case plan doesent run smoothly.

Any help appreciated

Hi!
1. create fallback area, use only "normal" letters for FB name.
do it from gui.
file-new area-fallback area

2. using cna_import:

cna_import -c newffile.txt newplarea

3. start it from gui (can be done by script using cnacmi)
file - open - my planned area and open "newplarea"
file - new job - update immediate

my file with freq. plan has this fields in top line:

NW MSC BSC SITE CELL bcc ncc nccperm_0 nccperm_1 nccperm_2 bcchno mbcr active_0 active_1 active_2 active_3 active_4 active_5 active_6 active_7 active_8 active_9 active_10 active_11 active_12 active_13 active_14 active_15 active_16 active_17 active_18 active_19 active_20 active_21 active_22 active_23 active_24 active_25 active_26 active_27 active_28 active_29 active_30 active_31 idle_0 idle_1 idle_2 idle_3 idle_4 idle_5 idle_6 idle_7 idle_8 idle_9 idle_10 idle_11 idle_12 idle_13 idle_14 idle_15 idle_16 idle_17 idle_18 idle_19 idle_20 idle_21 idle_22 idle_23 idle_24 idle_25 idle_26 idle_27 idle_28 idle_29 idle_30 idle_31 ch_group_0 dchno_0 dchno_1 dchno_2 dchno_3 dchno_4 dchno_5 dchno_6 dchno_7 dchno_8 dchno_9 dchno_10 dchno_11 dchno_12 dchno_13 dchno_14 dchno_15 hop hsn ch_group_1 dchno_0 dchno_1 dchno_2 dchno_3 dchno_4 dchno_5 dchno_6 dchno_7 dchno_8 dchno_9 dchno_10 dchno_11 dchno_12 dchno_13 dchno_14 dchno_15 hop hsn

There is a trick on this.. careful because you can delete the existing configuration. If you have a site with 2 CHGR OL/UL (if this a case for your network) and you only want to change OL or BCCH. You need to include in the file all the DCHNO data the cell have OL/UL.
All the CHGR's the cell have with MAIO, HSN, etc.
