Anyone have good planning docs about PUSC? Lots of technical info about, but not much planning advice.

As far as I know, you should allocate different segment number among 0~2 to nearby cells.

I've heard that PUSC subcarrier permutation is based on segment number and
Preamble permutation is also based on segment.

So, if you allocate same segment on nearby cells, cells with same segment number will suffer from severe interference and could not succeed in cell search.

And here are some planning documents from celplan.

I hope these will be helpful to you.

Both the cellplan software and support are good. I suggest to use their software too.

is PUSC widely used in WiMAX deployments? I was told it is not, so Iam curious.

As far as I know, PUSC with all subcarrier option is widely used in WiMAX deployments.

PUSC with all subcarrier option uses all subcarrier even its permutation mode is PUSC.

You can try to use fake GSM frequency planning.
Arrange each PUSC to fake frequency: f1,f2,f3.
Make automatic frequency planning in GSM project.

WIMAX PUSC IS USED WHEN YOU DONT NEED MORE CAPACITY PER SECTOR AND YOU HAVE LIMITED BANDWIDTH IN YOUR NETWORK,,, 1X3X1....
