Antenna type info in E*******

Hi everybody,

I need to know antenna type of cells in E******* RBS.When see from OSS Explorer,all antenna type are shown as "7" .But I dont know Kathrein manufure equivalent of E******* code.And two different antenna have a same code .What is this mean?

Hi!

There is a list somewhere in alex. Check RBS part. Search for antennaType.
Anyhow, it really does not matter for RBS performance.

The only parameter where it matters is mapping of maximum downtilt;
used for RET (also, number of turns per degree is hardcoded somehere).

For first help, here is maximum tilt per antenna:

maxt=[0,100,80,60,80,60,80,100,120,100,150,100,100,140,100,70,120,125,95,80,140,140,120]
(it is from jython code, so it starts with antennaType = 0)

Bottom line: if you use RETs, you need it. Otherwise it is irellevant.

Hi!

For propagation and manual tilt: take data from planning tools, not from OSS.
If you do not use RET, then there is no need to have accurate data for antennas in the OSS.

According E manual, antenna type number "7" (RET type 0) can be:
Kathrein 742 215
Kathrein 742 236
Kathrein 800 10121
Kathrein 742 352
Kathrein 800 10270
Kathrein 800 10360
Kathrein 800 10393
Kathrein 742 445
Kathrein 800 10341

That s true but essentially problem is this.

while Code for 742215 antenna is 7 ,

for 742236 antenna too is same .How understand I can between 742215 and 742236

We reached wrong parametres.It represent all antenna type 7.
What are the parametres for 742215 and 742236?
How could we learn nodB antenna type?

I presented only antennas belong for number 7. There are many different types of antennas with other numbers.;)
