Credit system
1.why I need credits?
Member group,Senior Group, VIP Group users can download attachments in our forum.
each download need 5 credits.

2.how do I get credits?



share something will increase your credits.

one post will add 1 credit;
one thread will add 2 credits;
other user download a attachment in your post will add 3 credits;

attachment rules:
you can zip all links into one txt file or zip file;
if multiple files needed, each file size should not less than 2MB, if you create many small attachments for earning credits, you posts will be move to credit-free section and you will not get any credits from that post.



your threads views reach certain threshold will add certain credits.

views|credits
100|10
200|20
300|30
400|40
500|50
1000|100
for example, your thread views reach 500 will add 50 credits.



login our forum every day will increase your credits.

days:credits
1~7:5
8~15:3
16~30:2
for example, you will get (7*5+3*3) credits if you login for 10 days without interruption.

2.Junior member to Member promotion rules changed:

junior member --> Member: need 1 posts and registered for more than 3 days and reputation >=15(from July 1,2010);
Member --->Junior: less than 1 posts or reputation <15.

so every new user need wait for 3 days and post at least 1 posts and 15 reputations before he/she can download attachments.

reason: too many multiple accounts found. ppl register many accounts for downloading attachments without a post.

we have deleted those users who did not post and not log for more than 1 year.

still have lots of sleeping users, please look at these statistics.

We have 18049 users, 13504 users have posts less than one, 16655 users have posts less than ten.

We create this forum for the purpose of sharing knowledge and experiences, but it won't last for long if most of us don't give.
so We decide to close some forums for junior members, that's reason why they can't see forums in category:Softwares For Wireless Network (http://www.finetopix.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3)

solution is: you can give negative reputation to him if you are sure he is cheating. he'll be in banned user group automatically if all cheated users give negative reputations to him.

user promotions task is run automatically every hour. you won't wait for more than 1 hours if all criteria meet.

But storing open files in the Internet (4shared, rapidshare, etc) isn't always a good idea. So for me is rather some kind of 'good practice' rather than a fight for reps (and credit)...

You mean that slogan of this forum - If you don' have what to share - don't use this forum for downloading.Have a look on the torrents systems,if you have something to share you can do it and your reputation will increase allowing you download more and more,also you can support spreading of the material or for increasing a reputation you can send sms.Which alternatives do we have here?

We have a thread here were passwords are posted.

They can put their password here.This is to avoid post asking password to some members who already posted their password which makes some thread very long, [post all asking for password]. And maybe, Admin will find a way that password thread and forum rules thread will always appear in the main of the forum so that everybody are aware that there is such a thread .Maybe a category under forum support. With your case, we can ask Admin if is it ok that the other members who where already have the password by the thread starter can share it. For example,I have the password,is it ok if i'll post it for everybody? Because others might give a negative reputation to me if I'll do it as i am not the source of the document.
